Hi, I’m Erin! Welcome to Sparking Wholeness, where I share all the realistic ways I enhance my mind, body, and soul.
The language of holistic wellness has transformed every part of my life. My passion comes from decades of pain. As a survivor of PTSD, depression, and bipolar disorder, I am continuously learning what that means and how it presents itself for me in my day to day. I’ve been medication-free for nine years and counting, after addressing the root triggers that caused me so much mental instability early in my life. I consider myself an anomaly (read my story here). Because of this, I believe whole body health is key to managing that which threatens to take us down – whether you have a diagnosed mental illness or not. Everything is connected. How you feed you body feeds your brain. How you feed your brain feeds your soul. How you feed your soul feeds every aspect of your life.
I have three children who keep me busy and a counselor-husband who keeps me inspired. I taught for over a decade before I made holistic wellness a full-time job with my nutrition coaching company and podcast. I never stop learning, and I try to stay up-to-date on all the latest health research. My training in integrative nutrition comes from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and my applied functional medicine training is from The School of Applied Functional Medicine.
Check out the Wellness tab for posts on emotional and mental healing. Nutritional philosophies and ponderings are in the Nutrition tab, and the Recipes tab features some of my favorite EASY brain health concoctions. I offer individualized and group coaching sessions under the Coaching tab. And don’t forget to check out my radio show Sparking Wholeness! Listen and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts.
Thank you for joining my journey to wholeness. I hope it sparks a flame inside of you the way it has for me.
